An Islamic legal authority who provides religious opinions to guide Muslims through fatwas.
In Singapore, Mufti is the chairman, a member of the Fatwa Committee, and is appointed by President of the Republic of Singapore and is part of the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore (Muis) council. 38
